We do balls for the tree, angels for the table, glass transfers for the windows, decorated pine cones for that touch of nature. We will make these throughout the year and then sell them at the markets closer to Christmas.
  • Encaustic Art - This is a fantastic art medium. It id done by melting coloured bees wax uing a low heat iron and then the melted wax is transferred onto pgotographic paper to produce a rich and vibrant work of art. The final picture is 3 dimensional as it has a textured finish and can be used in many ways. Each of the creations is an original as this art can not be produced exactly same by anyone. We use our art on greeting cards, book marks and individual pictures.
  • Glass Art - Ever wanted a lead light window. Well do we have the art for you......Our Glass transfers are fantastic. Wonderful colours with designs of your choice or pick from one of our stock pickture. The picktures are outlined with liquid lead and then the colours are then inerted into the correct areas as a liquid. Once all has dried it peels away from a plastic backing and you can then apply it to windows and doors, the back of glass cutting boards, on placemats or even on vases and crockery. It is very beautiful when the light shines through it.
  • Jewelry - We make a lot of different styles of earings, necklaces, bracelets and glasses holders. We use many different forms of medium for these items. The beads we use are glass, Sworovski Crystals, Czech crystals and on the odd occasion we use a small amount of high grade plastic feature beads. We use high grade gold and silver findings for all our jewelry. Some of our earing styles are Angels, Swarovski drops, dragon flys and many more. We will also make custom made pieces in consultation with individuals. We sell our jewelry at markets and also from email orders. Feel free to contact us if there is anything you would like us to make for you.
  • Key Rings - We have a lot of fun making all sorts of key rings, mobile phone blings and zipper pullers. They are great fun to make and we use lots of different materials. We have used beads, corks, shells together with wires, leather, string and bead threads. They are unusual, fun and add a bit of bling to you keys, phones and zippers on bags.
  • Knitting and wool crafts - We have lots of people who knit for us and also a few of our clients can knit. Some of our staff also kindly knit items as well. Often our clients help to decorate our knitted and crocheted items. We have many different designs of tea cosies, scarves, bags and beanies. We use heaps of different textured yarns and can make to order if you have a specific request.
  • Mosaics - The art of creating an image with small pieces of coloured tiles and grout. We use recycled tiles and break them up ourselves. This is a very polular craft at the farm as nearly everyone can have a go.
  • Recycled paper bricks - At Eagleton Ridge we have lots of documents that require shredding. We would end up with shredded paper everywhere so we became inventive and started making paper bricks. The process is a tad time consuming but what a great way to recycle paper. The paper is soaked for some time in water then pressed into a brick maker mould, pressed until very dense and then dried. We have made hundreds of bricks over the years and we sell them at the markets for fire starters in winter. They burn for quite a long time and get your fire going well. As they are make from white paper they do not soot up your flue and will burn doen to ash. They do really well in combustion heaters.
  • Pots and planters - We make lots of different pots and planters. Some are made from recycled cedar blinds, composite concrete, pottery and any other items we can use. We try to recycle lots of everyday items that usually end up as rubbish. Some of our baskets are hanging baskets and others are garden pots for decoration around your home. Many times we pot our home grown plants in our home made pots and sell them at the markets.
  • Pottery - Over the years we have fine tuned our pottery and we have produced some fantastic pices. We do a lot of hand building as this is much easier for our clientele to have a go at. Some of our pots and bowls are made by staff but are then glazed and decorated by our clientele with the help of our fantastic staff. We can make items to orders but all pottery takes a hile to produce due to all the stages of producing a completed item. The stages of pottery are building, slow drying, bisque firing, glazing, glaze firing. Therefore a pottery order can take 8 – 12 weeks for a completed item. As all our items are truly hand made at no time are the items identical.
  • Ragging - We have reintroduced the old are of ragging. We have made some wonderful rag bags and rag dolls. What a wonderful way to recycle old material, unwanted fabrics and old bed linen. The technique for the rag bags is similar to weaving or braiding but not quite the same. None of the items are the same as they are unique to the maker of each item. It is a blast from the past as this was the way mats, rugs and many other household items were made many many years ago before the introduction of mass production.
  • Sand Art - Sand art is a great form of art that uses different coloured sands and special multiple layered adhesive cardboard. By removing the top layer and sprinkling the coloured sand of your choice to create an individual piece of art. We have made some wonderful coloured sand jars as decorations, pictures that when framed are really effective and we have used the coloured sand when decorating pots and other items. This is a craft the we tend to use mainly for our clientele who love to make wonderful gifts for their family members. We can supply sets for kids to use with small and large pictures and a varity of coloured sands.
  • Soy Wax Candles – All natural soy was candles with beautiful fragrance blends. Soy was has a much extended burnoing time compared to parafin wax. It also burns at a lower temperature which means that the hot wax does not burn you. It is hot but not enough to actually injure you if spilt on you. In fact the melted was can be used as a moisturising hand oil and leaves your skin wonderfully soft. We have many different designs in containers from teacups to recycled jars. We also make a range of melts in your favourite franrance. These melts last around 14hours. These candles are non toxic and are all generously scented with quality essensial oils. All the candles are hand poured here at Eagleton Ridge.
  • Tye Dye - One of our latest crafts is Tye Dyeing. It is a way of adding a blast of colour to your day. From Aprons to tea towels, shirts to socks, tablecloths to bags and sheet sets and donna covers. Many hours have been spent banding and dyeing. Any cotton items can be dyed and we are more than happy to do requests for items, designs and colours. We make our own aprons, tea towels and bags from calico prior to dyeing so we use many skills to achieve these wonderful items. Everyone gets to have a go and some wonderful creations have been produced. What fun has been had with this craft and everybody achieves a great outcome.
