Eagleton Ridge enables people with disabilities to live their best lives. We provide personal, practical and purposeful disability support services for our community. We’re proud to deliver the highest quality of individual care that makes a difference. While we go above and beyond, we’re also proud to be down to earth, with inclusive home-like environments in Raymond Terrace and a farm at Eagleton.

Serving the Port Stephens community for more than 20 years, we’ve become known for our compassionate and person-centre approach, with supported accommodation, day programs, respite services and more. We take the time to truly to get to know every participant, then we tailor our approach to help each person achieve their unique goals.

The success of our approach is seen not only in our reputation and our high number of returning participants, but also in the positive and inclusive daily life of our home-like facilities in Raymond Terrace and the tranquil bushland setting of our farm in Eagleton.

From core services including respite, SIL, day program and support holidays, to capacity building through community integration, Eagleton Ridge provides disability support that helps Participants enjoy life to the fullest in a naturally supportive environment.

Our Story

The story of Eagleton Ridge and its beginnings is one of great compassion, selflessness and most importantly a deep and enduring commitment to equality and inclusion.

Established in 1999, founders Belinda and Vince Furlonger saw an opportunity to provide a sanctuary for people with disabilities, offering a sense of carefree normality and enabling people to live their best lives.

With experience as a registered nurse, a disability worker and trainer, Belinda chose to pursue her passion of helping others by opening her and Vince’s home on their Eagleton Ridge Farm, as repite accommodation for people with disabilities

This change of scenery offered Participants and their families a place to feel safe and supported whilst also providing them with a sense of adventure and fun.

The Farm was a home for all – the Furlongers, their regular Respite guests, farm animals and local wildlife. Participants would spend hours helping with animal feeding and various tasks around the farm – collecting chicken eggs was a favourite.

What started slowly and quietly quickly grew as families and carers spread their great appreciation of Eagleton Ridge for both its dedication to care and unique experiences. 22 years later, Eagleton Ridge provides care for over 50 participants, offering support through day programs, supported independent living (SIL), short term accommodation, community participation and more.

To this day, Belinda and Vince’s vision to work with purpose and integrity, ensuring all their Participants are enabled to live their best lives remains at the heart of everything they do at Eagleton Ridge.

Our Team

Our team is made up of a group of dedicated and caring individuals who strive to enable people with disabilities to live their best lives. We are reliable, kind, authentic, and passionate.  
With unique qualities and skills set, our team are genuine people, here to make a genuine difference and we always aim higher.

Our team’s purpose is to deliver the best possible care to our participants. The team is dedicated to continuous improvement, including upskilling, regular training courses, as in-depth induction into the team and participants.
